We successfully partnered with a client to develop a body deodorant. After several shipments, we received quality-related complaints from the client.
To address the issue comprehensively, we took the following targeted measures:
Requested the client to return the defective products for in-depth root cause analysis, and collaborated closely with the production facility to discuss countermeasures.
Short-term action: Implemented 100% quality control inspection for all pending shipments, ensuring every product meets the specified quality standards before delivery.
Long-term solution: Conducted a thorough investigation into the defect causes and identified that a key product dimension exceeded the tolerance range. Tracing back the issue, we found that one cavity of the production mold was out of specification. We immediately initiated a mold repair plan, followed by re-trialing, sampling, and verification to confirm the repaired mold produces products that fully comply with the technical drawings.
The root cause of the defect was identified and resolved completely, enabling stable and consistent mass production with reliable quality.
